Fee Structure

We take pride in having a simple fixed fee structure. We charge flat fees. Most services we provide will fit in the structure described below. There may be situations where a taxpayer is unsure of the extent of his/her tax issues. In those cases, we charge an initial fee of $650 to prepare and file a Tax Information Request, Form 8821, with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). The Authorization allows us to download and review an individual and/or business taxpayer’s account history and to determine the best course of action to resolve the taxpayer’s current tax issue(s). At this point, a taxpayer is not obligated to proceed beyond the discovery phase. If a taxpayer chooses to allow us to help resolve current tax issues, then we will prepare a work engagement letter that sets out the scope of the services we will provide and send the proposal to the prospective client. Once the work engagement letter is signed and returned to us, we will prepare a power of attorney, Form 2848, and file it with IRS after the client signs it. From that point on, IRS communicates directly with us as we work together to resolve current tax issues.

Fees are based on a client’s total current tax liability – including assessed tax, penalties and interest.
